Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Peoples' Freedom League (PFL) has strongly condemned the excesses and atrocities on people at Pattan in Varmul district allegedly by the Indian troops following an encounter with the militants.
In a statement on Friday, a spokesman of the League said, "The troops gutted about a dozen houses during the encounter."
The spokesman expressed sympathies with affected families. He said, "Such repressive policies cannot demoralize the freedom loving people from pursuing their freedom struggle. The freedom struggle will continue till the people are given their rights of self-determination to decide their future."
