Manzoor Anjum bereaved

Misra Bano, mother of senior journalist and editor-in-chief of Daily Uqab, Manzoor Anjum, passed away at her residence at Gulshan Colony Aalochi Bagh here on Friday.  

A large number of people participated in the funeral prayers of the deceased that were offered at Alochi Bagh after Friday congregational prayers.

   

Kashmir Editors Guild (KEG) has expressed grief over the sad demise. 

In a statement KEG expressed solidarity with the bereaved, particularly with Manzoor Anjum and prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul.

Members of Kashmir Press Club (KPC) expressed solidarity with the bereaved family and prayed for peace to the departed soul. 

Jammu and Kashmir National Conference president Dr Farooq Abdullah in his condolence message said, “I pray to Almighty for peace to the soul of deceased and strength to the bereaved family members to bear the loss.”

NC vice-president Omar Abdullah also expressed heartfelt condolences with Manzoor Anjum and prayed for peace to the departed soul. 

Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) president and former chief minister, Mehbooba Mufti prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul and extended her heartfelt sympathies to Anjum and other members of the bereaved family

CPI (M) senior leader  M Y Tarigami expressed solidarity with the bereaved family especially with Manzoor Anjum and prayed for courage to bear this irreparable loss. “Nobody ever can replace the relation of a mother and a child. This relationship is always superior and to lose a mother is itself a big tragedy for any person, which can neither be compensated nor replaced,” he added.
