Ziauddin Bazaz, the father of J&K Bank corporate communications and corporate social responsibility head and Greater Kashmir columnist Sajjad Bazaz, passed away here on Monday morning after a brief illness. He was 74, He breathed his last at 7:30 am at the Sher-e-Kashmir institute of medical sciences, Soura, a family member said.
Ziauddin was an employee in the science and technology department and had attained superannuation in 2004. The funeral prayers of the deceased were held at Firdous Abad, Batamaloo here. People from different walks of life participated in the Nimaz-e-Jinaza of the deceased.
The mourning shall be observed for only three days (till January 10), the family member said.
Meanwhile, J&K bank employees condoled the demise and expressed sympathies with the bereaved family, especially Sajad Bazaz. People from different sections of society also visited the bereaved family and expressed sympathy with Bazaz. Journalist fraternity also expressed deep sympathies with the bereaved family. J&K Bank officials also condoled the demise and sympathised with SajadBazaz and other members of the bereaved family.
“We equally share the grief and sorrow of the grieved family. Death is a reality and everybody has to face it. However, the believer is known for his patience and steadfastness,” they said.
