Army holds blood donation camp in Budgam

Srinagar Jan 10: In the run up to 67th Army Day, a blood donation and awareness camp was organised under the aegis of Chinar Corps by Rashtriya Rifles based in Central Kashmir’s Budgam district. A defence spokesman in a statement said the blood donation camp was organised at Higher Secondary School Soibug. He said the camp was inaugurated by GOC Kilo Force Major General Asit Mistry and Deputy Commissioner Budgam, Manzoor Ahmad Lone.
“Army personnel and locals voluntarily donated more than 250 units of blood during the camp. On the occasion, relief materials including stoves and blankets were distributed amongst the people.
The donated blood was handed over to the blood bank officials of LalDed Hospital and SKIMS hospital.
