Beg holds Congress responsible for erosion of state's position

Srinagar, Jan 6: The National Conference (NC) provincial president Dr Mehboob Beg on Sunday said that the NC would continue to fight for restoration of autonomy. Speaking to party workers at Islamabad, Dr Beg said that as long as the legal rights guaranteed in Delhi agreement would not be restored to Jammu and Kashmir, the State would continue to boil. Holding the Congress party responsible for what he said legal breaches in the state, Dr Beg said the Congress party was responsible for arrest of Sheikh Muhammad Abdullah and subsequent political upheavals in the State.

Geology & Mining officials thank Director
Srinagar, Jan 6: The Welfare Association Department of Geology and Mining has thanked Director Parvez Ahmad Malik for departmental promotion committee meeting on January 3. The association in a statement has expressed solidarity with the Director for improving the department and the service careers of employees. The Association has also thanked members of the DPC.
