Beware of mainstream parties: Zaffar to people

Srinagar, June 12: The Hurriyat Conference (M) senior leader and chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Salvation Movement Zaffar Akbar Bhat on Wednesday said people of Kashmir have offered sacrifices for their inalienable right to self-determination.Addressing a meeting organized in memory of martyrs at the Hurriyat (M) headquarters here Zaffar said, “The amalgam would continue its struggle till the people of state achieved their inalienable right, The participation of the true representatives of the people of Kashmir is important in the Pak-India talks for the resolution of Kashmir dispute.”
  Zaffar said permanent peace in the region was impossible without settlement of Kashmir issue. “These days the mainstream parties are talking of Kashmir issue for their own interest and vote politics. But people know it very well and they cannot be misled,” he said. Paying rich tributes to the youth killed in 2008-1010 and recently in Pulwama and Shopian areas, Zaffar said the people of Kashmir would continue their struggle till they achieve their goal.
 Zaffar on the occasion once again demanded that all Kashmiri prisoners should be shifted to their local district Jails in view of adverse climate.

Release salaries of ReT teachers: JKTF

Srinagar, June 12:  The President of Jammu and Kashmir Teachers Forum Abdul Qayoom Wani has expressed dismay and displeasure over the non-payment of salary to RETs, teachers and others having funds from SSA Scheme.     
 In an extraordinary session of JKTF held at Central Office with Qayoom Wani in chair the leaders expressed dismay and displeasure over the non-payment of salaries to the teacher, a spokesman of JKTF said in a statement. 
 “The non-payment of salary ranging from 3 to 7 months has put the teachers to heavy debts and such deliberate delay was termed as gross violation of human rights as the family of these teachers are facing starvation,” the spokesman quoted Wani as having said.
 Wani said if the salaries of the teachers were not released forthwith they would take to streets and staged massive protest.
