ILPEU for posting of Dy Dir in IMPA

Srinagar, Jan 22: Stating that government was showing apathy towards Institute of Management, Public Administration and Rural Development (IMPA), the IMPA Low Paid Employees Union (ILPEU) has demanded posting of Deputy Director in the institute.
In a meeting today ILPEU executive body said JK government was responsible for the ‘sad state of affairs prevailing in the institute.’
“The post of Deputy Director IMPA is lying vacant since the last year floods and it is hampering the growth of the Institute,” said Ashiq Hussain, ILPEU publicity secretary.
The ILPEU has called for general strike on January 27 as a mark of protest against ‘government apathy.’ Head Academics and Trainings IMPA, S N Aalam said, “GAD has assured us that within one week, a new Deputy Director would be send to the Institute.”
