Srinagar, Nov 10: Minister for Rural Development, Law, Justice and Panchayati Raj, Ali Muhammad Sagar on Saturday said that record number of tourists have visited the state during the past two years.
The Minister while addressing a public gathering at Veerinag Battegund in south Kashmir said,
“Recent statement of a British Diplomat regarding the improvement in the situation of the Valley has vindicated our stand and efforts. It is due to relentless efforts of the Government that the peace has been sustained and now people are reaping the dividends,” he said.
“We do not need certificates from the particular opposition party which has a history of spreading falsehood and rumors besides floating obnoxious ideas. They have always mislead the people and preferred their interests over those of the people of the State,” he added.
