Vendors for redressal of problems

Srinagar, Jan 12: All Kashmir Vendors’ Welfare Association at a daylong convention held at Bemina here, appealed to the PDP MLA elect and former trade union leader, Khursheed Alam to take up the problems of vendors with the authorities concerned for immediate settlement.
The convention was attended by all the leaders, members and office-bearers of the Association and was presided over by Association president Muhammad Rouf.
Speaking on the occasion, Khursheed Alam, the chief guest, said the vendors, Chapri Faroosh and Redi Faroosh are the poor section of society and it is government’s responsibility to rehabilitate them at proper places to enable them to earn their livelihood.
He assured that he would take up their problems and demands with the authorities concerned.
