2332 kanals of land transferred to SIDCO in Kashmir

The government has transferred 2332 kanals of state land to State Industrial Development corporation (SIDCO) in different areas of Kashmir valley while as another 264 kanals of land at Sempore Srinagar is being transferred to them soon.

According to an official, till date 2332 kanals of land has been taken over by SIDCO which include 800 kanals at LarGanderbal, 1000 kanals at ChewaBandipora, 425 kanals at TulbalSopore and 107 kanals at Pampore.

   

The land has been transferred by revenue department to Industries department which later handed over the land to SIDCO.

The government is going to establish Information technology set up on 32 kanals of the transferred land at Pampore.

The SIDCO authorities are working in the DPR and other plans to start work on at these places.

While talking to Greater Kashmir, General Manager SIDCO Kashmir, Aijaz Ahmad said “To provide land to more and more entrepreneurs and youth, we have got land at several places.  The land at Sopore, Ganderbal and Bandipora has already been handed over to SIDCO for setting up industrial units”.

” 264kanals of more land at Sempore will be handed over soon and we will be having no problem of land. Besides, 32 kanals of land have been kept for Information technology at Pampore.”

He said that by having land in different districts, the entrepreneurs and all those who want to establish units, can easily start their units in their respective areas.
