Advisor Farooq Khan launches banking services at BPCL outlets in JK

Advisor to Lieutenant Governor, Farooq Khan and Secretary Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs, Pandurang Kondbarao Pole today formally launched the FINO Banking Correspondence services to cover the maximum Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) retail outlets in J&K and Ladakh.

FINO banking services shall start from April onwards at thenewly enrolled retail outlets which will provide the services like Savings bankwith zero balance account, ATM, Insurance, Pension disbursement, Bill Paymentsat one point only without going to ATMs/other counters separately.

   

Apart from the FINO payment banking services, BPCL and SBI’scredit card namely BPCL SBI card was also launched. BPCL’s select outlets incity will enroll customers for this card initially followed by massive campaignacross J&K from April onwards.

Speaking on the occasion, Advisor praised BPCL’s efforts topromote the vision of the union government towards Digital India. He asked the officialsto make it rather a digital movement across the Union Territory of J&K.

Rajesh Sharma, BPCL’s Territory Manager (Retail) for J&Kand Ladakh stated that company in rest of India is aiming at achieving 32% ofthe total transactions at its Retail outlets through cashless modes. He furtherstated that in the next financial year, an aggressive but self-motivating driveshall be held across J&K to get the FINO banking and digital card servicesto the door steps of even rural & remote parts apart from city and highwaymarkets of BPCL.
