The Srinagar branch of Bank of India’s Amritsar Zone under NBG North-I carried out third stage of distribution of dry ration to the needy and distressed people at Kangan and Habakadal areas under Bank’s Corporate Social Responsibility.
According to statement, the activity was carried out in association with the Women Wing Samooh, Jammu, a socio-cultural NGO of J&K.
The exercise was organized under the able guidance of Dr Smita Murmu, the first lady of J&K. Dr Murmu has categorically advised to take social distancing and other sanitazation measures during distribution.
Branch Manager Srinagar Branch, Muhammad Ashraf said the decision was taken by their General Manager NBG North 1 Salil Kr Swain and their Zonal Manager Vasudev, Dy Zonal Manager Kewal Kumar Garg, both Amritsar Zone.

Previously, the Bank distributed dry ration to the needy in Migrant Colony, Purkhoo and at Gole Pulli Talab Tillo Jammu.
Social activist of Khawaja Gareeb Nawaz National Educational Trust Dr Nisar and Welfare Society Srinagar managed the activity under the guidance of Puneet Gupta Chief Manager Satwari Branch and Anita Chandpuri Secretary Samooh Women Wing Jammu Kashmir.
