Commissioner Secretary, Labour and Employment Department, Saurabh Bhagat, Thursday interacted with students during a counselling session organised by District Employment and Counselling Centre Srinagar here at SP College.
According to an on official spokesperson, officers fromDirectorate of Employment, J&K EDI and Women Development Corporation werealso present on the occasion.
The programme was intended to guide the students in apragmatic manner where speakers shared their experiences with the students.
On the occasion, Bhagat, who was guest of honour at theprogramme, spoke about his experience of cracking IAS examinations. He detailedvarious steps necessary for the preparations of civil services examinations. Heurged students to work hard to achieve academic excellence.
Shahid Mehmood, Joint Director Employment Kashmir andMohammad Rafeeq Bhat, Assistant Director Employment (Central) were alsopresent.
During the programme, three officers who had recentlyqualified the KAS examination were also called to share their experiences andguide the interested students accordingly.
Also the Career Counselling Officers of EmploymentDepartment gave presentations whereby the students of the college were guidedabout the NCS portal and also about the scholarship schemes, self- employmentschemes and upcoming competitive examinations.
