Dairy farmers associated with JKMPCL demand pending payment

Dairy farmers demanding payment of pending bills worth Rs 2.5 crore with Jammu and Kashmir Milk Producers Co-operative Limited (JKMPCL) held protests.

The protesting farmers said JKMPCL had procured 50,000litres of milk from them after which the unit was closed by the administration.

   

JKMPCL is the apex dairy cooperative organization of J&Kstate with a network of more than 20000 milk producers across the stateassociated with it through 400 village dairy co-operative societies.

They protesters said on July 3, administration suddenly closeddown one of the units of this organisation at Milk Plant Cheshmashahi Srinagarwhile processing of 50000 litres of milk for next-day.
