Deputy Commissioner, Budgam, Syed Sehrish Asgar on Monday held a meeting with officers and officials of Social Welfare, ICPS, Handicrafts, and Handloom Departments to review the monitoring of different central and state sector schemes.
Schemes of Aasra, NFCH, RMV, WoD, the functioning ofchildren homes also come up in the meeting under review. Achievements under the Integrated ChildProtection Scheme were also discussed along with Handloom and Handicraftsdepartments. Assistant Director, Handloom and Handicrafts presented thedepartment- wise progress and issues.
DC Budgam while speaking on the occasion stressed onconducting exhibitions/fairs and awareness generation on quality of Kashmirihandicrafts especially Kani Shawls, Buyer-Seller meets and showcasing ofproducts of training centres.
