Digitisation of land records under DILRMP reviewed

Financial Commissioner Revenue, PawanKotwal on Thursday convened a meeting to review the progress of digitization of land records in Kashmir under DILRMP (Digital India Land Records Modernization Programme).

Kotwal, according to an official spokesperson, stressed uponthe importance of digitization that will help citizens to access the records ofproperties on their own. Kotwalemphasised upon concerned officials to strictlyfollow the deadline fixed for the updation of Jamabandis and scanning of allpending revenue records in all the districts of Kashmir division.

   

During the meeting, the Financial Commissioner was apprisedabout the progress of scanning of documents and quality check of the scanneddocuments. While inspecting the scanning work of land records and theirquality, Kotwal asked the Deputy Commissioners to install additional scanningmachines and computers in order to complete the process of digitisation withinthe stipulated time period.

The meeting was attended by Deputy Commissioners of variousdistricts and representatives from RAMTECH Pvt. Ltd.
