A public meet of fruit growers was organized by the Department of Horticulture at Wakura Ganderbal.
Director Horticulture Kashmir Ajaz Ahmad Bhat attended thepublic meet and gave a brief of all developmental schemes implemented in the horticulture sector which includesestablishment of new orchards, C AStorage facilities, technical support to the farming community andelaborated the scheme for establishmentof high density orchards in the farmers field with the support of Department.He advised the farmers to bring the fallow land of the area under suchorchards.
Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal graced the occasion with his presence and interacted with thefarmers on various issues.
The authorization for providing back ended assistance on thepurchase of farm machinery in favour of genuine fruit growers was issued by theChief Horticulture officer Ganderbal Manzoor Ahmad Bhat.
