DLRC Budgam holds performance review of KCC for animal husbandry, fisheries

A meeting of the District Level Review Committee (DLRC), Budgam to deliberate on and receive inputs from the stakeholders about the newly launched Kissan Credit Card (KCC) scheme for animal husbandry and fisheries was held at Lead District Manager’s office.

The meeting was chaired by the LDM, Budgam, Aijaz Ahmad,according to a statement.

   

“The implementation of the scheme is being directlymonitored by the J&K Bank Chairman&MD RK Chhibber and President SLBC Sunil Gupta,” read the statement.

The meeting, according the statement, was attended by theCluster Head J&K Bank Budgam Mushtaq Ahmad, DDM Nabard Juneed Hakeem, chiefanimal husbandry officer Budgam Mushtaq Ahmad, Assistant Directorfisheries  Showkat Ahmad, sheep husbandryOfficer Budgam Dr ZulfikarAhmad, District KVIB officer Imran and otherrepresentatives from the banks operating in the district.

Chief Animal Husbandry Officer, Budgam said that districtBudgam is leading in sponsoring cases under the scheme. He thanked leaddistrict manager Budgam AIjaz Ahmad for his proactive, prompt approach formaking scheme viable so as to get the desired results and achieve the alreadyset targets for the district. Lead bank’s role is going to be more effective asthe cases routed through them will be continuously recorded and tracked by boththe departments and the banks.

 LDM Budgam AijazAhmad briefed the forum that 1037 KCC diary cases, 87 poultry cases ,10 DEDScases have been sponsored till date by the Animal Husbandry Department  to various bank branches of the district. TheLDM sought the status as on date from all the relevant quarters.
