The guidance council of JKEEGA today held a meeting at PDD complex Bemina to discuss issues which could arise from the proposed unbundling of JKPDD.

“Over the past few months various concerns have been voiced in the media on the subject that have given rise to apprehensions in the minds of the employees in particular and general public at large. JKEEGA views the concerns raised by the employees as genuine that need to be addressed in right earnest,” JKEEGA Secretary General Er Jaweed Ahmad, said.

He said the lack of clarity and transparency on this vital issue from the government “has given rise to grave apprehensions.”

“Time and against JKEEGA has been asking the Government for proposed unbundling blue print framed by consultant PWC which has not been furnished till date. We appeal the Government to come clean on the issue so that all apprehensions and uncertainties are cleared.”

Gani said “For the safeguard of the engineering fraternity and for larger interest of department, JKEEGA request and urge the power corridors to have stakeholders on board through their representatives and have threadbare deliberations on the said proposal to address all the concerns being felt by the fraternity for overall betterment and progress of the power department and to avoid path of confrontation.”
