Jammu and Kashmir Cements Employees Joint Action Forum Tuesday resolved to frame a “strong” and “effective” representative body to restore pristine glory of the company.

In a statement a spokesperson of the forum said that during a meeting of employees of all cadres it was unanimously resolved to frame a strong and effective representative body for perusing restoration and rejuvenate of the “derailed company”. 

“During the meeting, it was explained threadbare that previous system of single representative character was not good for the health of the company,” the spokesperson said. 

“It was decided that the Joint Action Forum led by senior trade union leader AR Regoo will appeal the Governor and Chief Secretary to take cognizance of the plight of JK Cements and depute a dynamic officer preferably a Chief Engineer as MD to keep it running in future,” the statement added.
