Finance Department on Thursday issued an order for streamlining the allocation of functions for J&K Accounts Service (JKAS) and J&K Economics & Statistics Service (JKE&SS).
As per government order, sanction has been accorded totransfer of cadre control of the Jammu and Kashmir Economics and Statistical(Gazetted) and Jammu and Kashmir Economics and Statistical (Subordinate)Service from Planning, Development and Monitoring Department to the FinanceDepartment.
The allocation of functions between the Finance Departmentand the Planning, Development and Monitoring Department as recommended by theCommittee constituted vide Government Order No. 1469-GAD of 2018 datedSeptember 26, 2018.
It further reads that two divisions of the existing set-upwill be retained in the Planning, Development and Monitoring Department and theofficers of the Jammu and Kashmir Economics and Statistical (Gazetted/Subordinate) Services shall be deemed to be on deputation from the FinanceDepartment.
The government further ordered re-structuring of thecombined Finance and Planning functions within the Finance Division by theFinance Department in a phased manner and completion of the entire exercise byAugust 15, 2019.
