Ganai for improving ease of doing business in JK

The Financial Commissioner directed the State Pollution Control Board to speed up its consent mechanism and make sure that consents are issued within a month’s time.

Khurshid Ahmed Ganai, Financial Commissioner, Industries and Commerce department today proposed several measures to improve ‘ease of doing business’ in Jammu and Kashmir.  

Chairing a high level meeting of officers and other stakeholders, Ganai outlined the need for doing away with several repetitive and archaic procedures, while stressing the need for switching over to web-enabled services to make systems swift, time-bound, transparent and hassle- free.

The Financial Commissioner directed the State Pollution Control Board to speed up its consent mechanism and make sure that consents are issued within a month’s time. 

He asked for linking of various related departments with the National e-Biz portal.  All the departments/corporations were asked to come up their websites.

Dr Abdul Rashid, Director, Industries and Commerce, Jammu gave a powerpoint presentation highlighting various steps proposed under “Ease to do business” in Industries department.
