Govt invites Tata Sons for developing IT sector in J&K

Advisor to Governor, K Skandan on Wednesday met Tata Sons chairman N Chandrasekaran in Mumbai to workout modalities for involvement of the corporate sector for development of IT and services industry in J&K.

He was accompanied by vice-chancellor of University ofKashmir, Prof Talat Ahmad, secretary IT Saugat Biswas and managing director JKIT ID & SIDCO, Ravinder Kumar.

   

The advisor invited Tata Group of Companies to makeinvestment in the state of Jammu and Kashmir to provide employmentopportunities to the youth of the state.

He informed the chairman about various advantages andfacilities available in the state for investment in multiple sectors vizInformation Technology, industries, tourism and crafts.

The vice chancellor of Kashmir University also mentionedthat both Jammu and Kashmir universities have varied training centres for skilldevelopment of youth which may be required by industry.

The advisor assured the Tata Sons chairman of the full support from the state government.
