Govt releases Rs 97 lakh for census of minor irrigation, water bodies in J&K

Jammu and Kashmir Planning, Development and Monitoring Department today released Rs 97.78 lakh for Minor Irrigation (MI) census and Census of Water Bodies in J&K during 2018-19 to be taken up under centrally sponsored scheme.

As per an order issued in reference to DES/C/213-B/2/84, dated October 11 received from Director General, Economics & Statistics, J&K, Jammu, sanction has been accorded to release of Rs 97.78 lakh (Rupees Ninety Seven lakh and Seventy Eight Thousand only) under Centrally Sponsored Scheme, 5th and 6th Minor Irrigation (MI) Census and Census of Water Bodies in J&K in favour of Director General Economics and Statistics J&K , Jammu for its further placement at the disposal of Financial Commissioner, Revenue for utilization during the year 2018-19 for conducting of Census.

   

As per order Rs 76.96 lakhs kept for honorariums while rest of the amount were used for stationery and printing, travel expenses, medical reimbursement, office Expenses, salary and pensionery charges.

Funds shall be utilized for execution of the scheme strictly as per originally approved components and according to the guidelines prescribed by Government of India.

A status report about the scheme, in terms of physical and financial progress made during the current year and up to date cumulative expenditure and physical achievements shall be submitted.

Utilization Certificates (UCs) of funds released shall be submitted as early as possible to GOI, with copy to Finance and Planning Department.

Director Finance/FA & CAO shall vouchsafe the utilization of funds as per codal procedure /Govt, of India’s guidelines.

The expenditure shall be booked as per the following classifications for proper accounting of original authorization orders for each scheme to which these funds pertains.
