Grameen Bank holds financial awareness campaigns

J&K Grameen Bank organised awareness campaigns ‘Gram Swaraj Abhiyaan about PM’s social security schemes in Bandipora and Baramulla district under its phase 2.   

The programmes were organised by Micro Finance and Financial Inclusion Department in collaboration of Regional Office Bandipora under the chairmanship of Janak Raj, a spokesperson of the bank said.  The campaign was conducted in the remote villages Katipora and Chandiwanigam under the branch office Tangmarg and Chandilora.

   

AK Dogra, deputy secretary DFS, the chief guest on the occasion, highlighted that Gram Swaraj Abhiyaan Phase 2 started from June 1 and will end on August 15 reaching out to 187 villages of regional office Baramulla and Kupwara. He highlighted that in 42 days the bank has enrolled 8699 enrollments under the GOI social security schemes viz., PMJDY, PMJJBY, PMSBY and APY.

He said the GOI programme is covering the poor population in the villages of district Baramulla and Kupwara.
