Guv to seek financial package for flood-affected traders

A delegation of State Economic Reconstruction Forum (SERF) was informed during their meeting with Principal Secretary, Finance Department B B Vyas.

Governor N N Vohra has assured the flood-hit traders of taking the issue of financial package for them with Union Finance Minister during their meeting.

Vohra who is likely to meet Finance Minister Arun Jaitley in the coming days to discuss J&K’s financial crisis and release of plan, etc., with the centre government, will also seek special package for flood-affected traders community, the valley-based traders have been conveyed by senior officials of the administration .

A delegation of State Economic Reconstruction Forum (SERF) was informed during their meeting with Principal Secretary, Finance Department B B Vyas that in the coming days ex-gratia amount would also be released to flood-hit traders.

SERF delegation comprising Muhammad Yaseen Khan, Muhammad Ashraf Mir and Jan Muhammad Koul met various officials including Chief Secretary, Principal Secretary Finance department during their visit to Jammu.

Talking to Greater Kashmir, Chairman Kashmir Economic Alliance (KEA), Muhammad Yaseen Khan said: “We were assured by the officials that Governor will seek special package for flood affected traders of the state during his meeting with Jaitley.”
