Heavy rains followed by hailstorm hit several areas of North Kashmir’s Zaingair area in Sopore on Monday morning causing extensive damage to standing crops, apple orchards and vegetable fields.
Some areas of Zaingair including Warpora, Dangarpora,Janwara, Dooru and other surrounding areas witnessed heavy rains as well ashailstorm at around 8:30 am on Monday morning, and continued for at least 10minutes there by resulting in huge loss to farmers and fruit growers in thearea.
This is third time since May, the hailstorm has hit Sopore.
