Hoteliers Club calls on Advisor Ganai

J&K Hoteliers Club has called on Advisor to Governor Khurshid A Ganai at Circuit House here and urged him about extending power tariff benefits to hotels further by one year.

In a statement, JKHC said it held a fruitful meeting withthe advisor who gave patient hearing to the delegation which was led by itschairman Mushtaq Ahmad Chaya.

   

At the outset, Chaya hailed Advisor Governor for takinggreat pains for the promotion of tourism sector.

Chaya said tourist footfall was not as expected and furtherpromotional activities were needed to attract travellers to Kashmir.

He said in view of the low tourist footfall, it wasmandatory that the government extended power tariff benefits at par with smallscale industries by one more year.

JKHC said Advisor gave on spot instructions to the concernedauthorities for extending every possible help to the hoteliers in this regardand extending the scheme of industrial power benefits at least for nine months.JKHC said that Advisor said the department is keen to attract LTC travellers toKashmir for which, he said, they have made correspondence with all states andunion territories urging them to encourage their government employees to travelto Kashmir.

Chaya said the advisor also assured that the department willfurther launch aggressive marketing campaigns to increase tourist footfall toKashmir.
