To discuss the implementation of Pradhaan Mantri Shram YogiMandhan (PMSYM), for unorganised workers, a meeting was held today under thechairmanship of District Development Commissioner Shopian, Dr Owais Ahmed heretoday.
Assistant Commissioner Development Shopian, AssistantDirector Employment, Chief Medical Officer Shopian, Career Counseling OfficerDE&CC Shopian, Secretary Municipal Committee Shopian, District ManagerCommon Service Centre Shopian and District Manager LIC attended the meeting.
During the meeting it was decided that District Manager CSCwill depute 4 VLEs (Village Level Entrepreneur’s) to District Employment andCounseling Centre Shopian to carry out the process of linking of eligibleunorganized workers falling in the age group of 18-40 years under PMSYM and theperformance of CSC operations will be keenly monitored by AD EmploymentShopian.
Directions were also passed to ACD Shopian, Program officerICDS and Assistant Labour Commissioner for sharing the list of all the eligibleMGNREGA, other construction Workers and Anganwadi workers with DE&CC Shopian so that no eligibleunorganized worker is left out. DDC Shopian also stressed upon the officers tocarry out the enrollment/linkage of eligible unorganized under this socialsecurity scheme so that the desired targets are achieved well in time.
