ITC sets-up COVID19 contingency fund

ITC LIMITED has set up Rs 150 crore COVID19 contingency fund for vulnerable sections of society, a statement said.

“This fund will be used to provide relief to most vulnerablesection of the society, provide assistance to rural healthcare and even provideprotective gear for medical staff,” the statement said.

   

It said the fund will be utilised primarily to providerelief to the vulnerable and most needy sections of society who have beenharshly impacted by the pandemic and have faced disruption in their livelihoods.

The statement said the conglomerate, in its commitment tosupport the government efforts in the fight against the COVID19 pandemic hasjoined hands with J&K Police by distributing essential commodities (juicesand soaps) for relief to IGP Kashmir, Vijay Kumar

“ITC limited officialshanded over juices and soaps stock to J&K Police at District Police Line,Srinagar in presence of SSP Srinagar Haseeb Mughal and DYSP DAR Srinagar FerozAhmad Qadri,” the statement said.
