The Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST) organized a special orientation programme on “Careers in Science Technology Engineering Mathematics (STEM)-Planning your Scientific Journey” here on Tuesday.
The event was organized by Placement & Trainings, IUST in collaboration with J&K Scientists Group under Science & Education Outreach Programme.
The resource persons from J&K Scientists Group were Dr. Syed Mubarak Hussain, neuroscientist from the University of New Mexico, USA, Dr. Zahida Qamiri, The Ohio State University, Reyaz Ahmad Shah, Indian Institute of Sciences, Bangalore, and Insha Rasool, Postech University, South Korea.
The Vice Chancellor (VC), IUST, Prof. Mushtaq A Siddiqi gave an overview of the efforts being taken at IUST for propagation and dissemination of scientific Knowledge.
Prof. G. M. Rather, Dean School of Sciences, IUST also spoke on the occasion and emphasised upon the need of organizing such resourceful and motivational events in future also. Dr. S. Iqbal Quraishi, Deputy Registrar, Placement & Trainings conducted the proceedings of the session.
