Chairman and CEO J&K Bank Parvez Ahmed on Friday presided over the valedictory session of SMVDU international conference on the management education at the varsity campus in Katra.
The conference was attended by Prof Raj Kumar, Vice-Chancellor, Punjab University, Prof D Mukhopadahyay, Vice-Chancellor, SMVDU, Dr Saurabh, Head, School of Business, SMVDU, Dr Suparn K Sharma, Convener, senior officials of the Bank, delegates from India and abroad and faculty members of SMVDU.
Paying tributes to the founders of Shrine Board and SMVDU, the Chairman J&K Bank in his presidential address said, “The kind of infrastructure and contribution that one idea of creation of Shrine Board and allied infrastructure has made in the Ecosystem of this place is huge by any standards and we need to compliment the vision of the founders of the Shrine Board”.
Parvez Ahmed complimented the SMVDU for setting up incubator for Startups in the state and requested to popularize the success stories so that it percolates in the society. While assuring full support to the premier university for promoting the startup culture and quality management education in the J&K, the Chairman appreciated the introduction of innovative courses like Data Analytics in the curriculum of Management education in SMVDU.
Prof D Mukhopadahyay, Vice Chancellor, SMVDU in his address stressed upon the active role of higher academia in the restructuring the curriculum of management education for a modern society.
