JKEDI holds orientation programme for students

Jammu and Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute (JKEDI) held an orientation programme for the students of Government Girls Higher Secondary School (GGHSS), Sonwar at its Pampore campus.

According to the statement, the programme was held at JKEDIMain campus in which 55 students of 10th standard along with their teachers andtrainers participated.

   

The students who participated in the orientation programmehave opted for trades like retailing and security services as their vocationalsubjects introduced by the State government.

The orientation programme started a presentation by Ishfaq AMir, Communication Officer, JKEDI and Coordinator for the programme.

Mir gave a detailed insight regarding the activities ofJKEDI vis a vis entrepreneurship development and self-employment initiativesbeing implemented by the institute.

In the second session of the programme, Aejaz Ahmad Mulla,Faculty at JKEDI briefed the participants about the schemes being implementedby the institute for entrepreneurship development and self-employmentgeneration in the state of Jammu and Kashmir. He motivated the students to takeup entrepreneurship as their career once they complete their studies.
