JKEDI holds training for 92 aspiring entrepreneurs

Jammu and Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute (JKEDI) completed two training programmes in which 92 candidates including 12 females were trained for entrepreneurship and self-employment.

The trained candidates were from Srinagar, Budgam, Anantnag, Pulwama, Kulgam, Kupwara, Bandipora and Baramulla districts, a spokesperson of the JKEDI said. 53 candidates were trained at JKEDI Pampore campus under Seed Capital Fund Scheme (SCFS) and Youth Startup Loan Scheme (YSLS) being implemented by the institute.

   

Whereas, 39 candidates in the age group of 18-35 years were trained under Himayat Self Employment Scheme at Baramulla. These candidates shall be provided financial linkage under term loan scheme of National Minorities Development and Finance Corporation (NMDFC).

The aspiring entrepreneurs were trained in agri–allied (poultry, dairy, sheep and floriculture) food processing, retail, services and manufacturing sectors to help them establish their entrepreneurial ventures.
