The traders in the area have accused the PDD for failing to ensure uninterrupted power supply to the commercial area.

Even as Karan Nagar is yet to come out of flood aftermath, the extended power curtailments by Power Development Department (PDD) have become a source of inconvenience for the traders of this commercial hub of the Srinagar city.

The traders in the area have accused the PDD for failing to ensure uninterrupted power supply to the commercial area.

Talking to Greater Kashmir, President Karan Nagar Traders Federation, Ajaz Shahdhar said that the entire traders’ community in the area is facing hardship due to repeated power cuts by the PDD.  “In today’s time almost every business is dependent on electricity but in our market the electricity is always playing hide and seek,” Shahdhar said.
