KTMF delegation calls on J&K Bank chairman

A delegation of Kashmir Traders and Manufacturers Federation (KTMF) on Monday called on chairman and CEO J&K Bank Parvez Ahmed here at the corporate headquarters of the bank here to discuss various issues concerning the business community.

The delegation, according to a J&K Bank spokesperson,was led by its senior vice-president, Fayaz Ahmad Bhat.  Executive presidents PK Tickoo and RKChibber, presidents Mohammad Maqbool Lone, Mohammad YounusPatoo, ArunGandotraand RakeshGandotra, and vice-presidentFayaz Ahmad Bhat and other officers ofthe bank were also present during the interaction.

   

The chairman while acknowledging the importance of directfeedback from all levels and highlighted the interdependent nature of therelationship between traders and the bank, emphasized on the need to maintainhealthy trade and financial practices. There lies a joint responsibility onboth traders and financial institutions to keep each other in good condition,he said.

Commenting upon the credit culture in J&K, the chairmanextolled the good track record and honesty of the people and stressed on thenecessity to preserve goodwill through proper utilisation of loan funds whileassuring the delegation that the management is committed to redress all grievances.

Responding to the queries raised by the delegation, thechairman asserted that the bank is committed to dispense world-class customerservice with establishment of Central Processing Centres (CPC) for hassle-freesanction and disbursal of loans within 48 hours, upgradation of customerservice department by providing a Single Point Contact for grievance redressal,roping in external rating agency ‘Informerics’ to facilitate customers to getloans at optimum interest rates.

The chairman passed on-spot instructions to the concernedfor creating a liaison department in all divisions of the state that willremain constantly in touch with all the trade bodies and address the issuesfaced by them. He further instructed the designated executives to resolvepending insurance claims expeditiously and commission additional ATMs at allprominent business hubs and important establishments.

Expressing gratitude towards the management of the bank forfacilitating frequent interactions with members of trade bodies, the federationhailed J&K Bank’s contribution in the socio-economic development of thestate and requested the chairman to conduct awareness programmes and seminarsregarding export and other related schemes.
