Lalit Mahajan has been elected president Bari Brahmana Industries Association (BBIA) for the term 2019-21.
The election was held on Saturday at BBIA Bhawan under the election commissioners Sudhir Kumar, Taranjit Singh Sahni, Ram Langer, SS Wazir and Vinod Jamwal. The total votes casted in the election were 210 out of 232 eligible voters.
Mahajan scored 189 votes defeating Rakesh Bhat, who scored 18 votes, 3 vote were invalid.
Tarun Singla was elected senior vice president by scoring 170 votes defeating Parvinder Singh Jaggi who scored 32 votes, 8 votes were invalid.
The candidates which were elected unopposed were Ajay Langer as vice president, Viraaj Malhotra as general secretary, Rajeah Jain as secretary and Vivek Singhal as treasurer.
