During the Pension Adalat, Shourjo Chatterjee, Accountant General J&K also launched an SMS facility to keep pensioners informed about the status of the their pension cases.

On the occasion of National Pension Day 2018 and as a part of good governance and efforts towards the minimization of grievances of pensioners, the office of Accountant General (A&E), Jammu & Kashmir held a Pension Adalat today at Sher-i-Kashmir International Conference Centre, Srinagar. In the Pension Adalat, grievances of the pensioners were taken up and cases were settled on spot.

During the Pension Adalat, Shourjo Chatterjee, Accountant General J&K also launched an SMS facility to keep pensioners informed about the status of the their pension cases.

The Accountant General assured pensioners of the complete cooperation of his office to expeditiously settle the pension cases. He intimated that in a short span of two months, his office has been able to settle more than 9000 7th Pay Commission Revision Cases by working overtime including on holidays.

He assured that with the cooperation of the pensioners, the AG’s Office will settle more than two lakh remaining revision cases in due course. These cases are in addition to the regular superannuation and family pension cases that AG’s Office is regularly authorizing more than 1400 cases per month, he added.
