PHD Chamber-Kashmir calls on Advisor Vyas

Chamber discussed progress on implementation of budget announcement 2018-19.

A delegation of Kashmir chapter of PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industries headed by its president Mushtaq Ahmed Chaya called on Advisor to Governor, BB Vyas, on Monday to discuss various issues pertaining to business and tourism sectors of the state. 

The delegation, according to a statement of the chamber, sought the intervention of the advisor for implementation of the finance department regarding budget announcement 2018-19 for treating hotels and resorts at par with the with industries for payment of power tariff  and requested him to direct the commissioner secretary for implementation of this order on ground. Also the chamber advocated for the promotion of tourism sector of J&K with introduction of long term financial support in the form of soft loan.

PHD Chamber also asked for identification of the sick units on priority basis, sought the implementation of schemes like national handicraft and handloom programme, national manufacturing policy in MSME sector of J&K, and implementation of National Handloom Reservation Act.

The advisor, according to the statement, gave a patient hearing to the delegation and issued on the spot directions to resolve the Issues highlighted and represented by PHD Chamber.
