Protesting horticulture graduates demand Rehbar-e-Bagbani jobs

Demanding jobs, scores of horticulture graduates from SKAUST-K on Friday held protest over non-advertisement of posts in their field from more than a decade.

The horticulture graduates assembled at press enclave onFriday holding placards and were chanting slogans in favour of their demand.

   

The protestors said that they have been left with no hopevis-à-vis their career as the authorities have failed to create any job. Theyalso said that implementation of Rehbar-e-Bagbani scheme to create jobs is alsolingering from long time  despitecompletion of all major formalities.

“From 2007, not a single post has been created leaving ushigh and dry. The file for creation of jobs through Rehbar-e-Bagbani is eatingdust from long time despite completion of all major formalities,” saidpresident Horticulture Graduates Association, Ghulam Jeelani.

“Scores of graduates have registered for Rehbar-e-Bagbaanischeme in all three divisions of the state but the scheme is yet to beimplemented and the file is stuck at civil secretariat,” he said.

The protesting graduates appealed the Governor Satya PalMalik’s intervention so that their grievances will be addressed and they won’thave to suffer.
