To attract Kashmiri students for studies in its Kanpur and Ghaziabad campuses, a team of Rama Universityis on a marketing tour of the Valley.  Addressing the media here at a city hotel, Dr Suraj, Pro-Chancellor of Rama University said the varsity has achieved excellence in areas such as medicine, engineering, management, paramedical etc since its inception in 1995.  
 
 
Suraj said apart from promoting its courses here, the group is keen on setting-up of a healthcare educational campus in the Valley in future. “We are primarily a healthcare based group and keenly want to analyse the educational and healthcare needs in the valley,” Suraj said. 
 
He said the university is keen on promoting industry-academia interactions so that students are made more job-ready. “We provide SAP certification on our campus and have a tie -up with IIT Kanpur to exchange resources. We welcome students to apply for BTech, which is taught according the industry standards and requirements. We also offer specialised PhD and PG,” Suraj said.  
 
Talking about the the facilities in the campuses, Dr Suraj said Rama University has a Cathlab, Catea, Scada labs along with a Pro-E animation system. “Apart from foreign collaborations our hospital capacity is 2000 beds and we have 5000 students in both campuses,” Dr Suraj said. 
 
He said the university is offering 10 percent rebate on fees for Kashmiri students adding that students who manage to score more than 70 percent marks in the forthcoming entrance are also provided a rebate on their tuition fees for the entire course.
