Regain lost decorum and glory of FCIK: Kashmir-based IE heads

Several Valley based Industrial Estate presidents on Thursday urged for restoration of “decorum and glory” of the umbrella industry body, Federation of Chamber of Industries Kashmir (FCIK) saying this apex industry body “must serve the purpose it used to be known for”.

A statement issued by a group of IE presidents here said they will make all possible efforts “to restore the credibility of FCIK”.

“We will leave no stone unturned  to revive FCIK and what it used to be known for. For that matter we request all the stake holders to extend full amount of cooperation to achieve this noble cause,” the statement said.

“We have received a serious setback as a result of a division in the prestigious organization of FCIK which should come to an end,” it added. The statement said in-order to restore the “credibility” of FCIK, presidents belonging to various industrial estates of the Valley had series of meetings to achieve this goal. “In the latest meeting held on April 18 at Industrial Estate Baghi Ali Mardhan Khan Srinagar it was resolved that FCIK should regain its lost glory and significance,” the statement said.
