Reliance Jio on Tuesday announced the launch of a new high end model of the JioPhone, the “JioPhone 2”.
It said the phone will be available for online purchase on Jio.com on 16th August, 12pm, in a flash sale at a price of Rs 2999.
“JioPhone 2 is powered with a horizontal screen display and a full keyboard.The horizontal display provides a horizontal screen viewing experience,” said the company, in a statement. “The full keyboard provides a QWERTY keypad for ease of typing.”
“JioPhone aims to accelerate the Digital Revolution in India with extreme affordability so that each and every Indian can access the internet and enjoy the Digital Life,” Reliance Jio said.
