Today, Principal Secretary to the Government, Skill Development Department Dr Asgar Hassan Samoon inspected PMKK (Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Kendra)centre run by Learnet Skills, Kunjwani wherein unemployed youth including school/college dropouts are being provided skill training under skill development schemes run by Government of India.
During the visit, Dr. Samoon inspected various class rooms, labs and also interacted with the students. He enquired about the courses being offered to the youth and the employability of the course being run under skill development schemes.
While interacting with students and staff at the centre, Dr Samoon encouraged them to address the training needs of the candidates, and added that the Government is always at the forefront to provide any kind of guidance and support for Skill Development in J&K.
Dr. Samoon further stressed the need for self employment which would eventually make the young population self- reliant and thereby boost the skill and entrepreneurship ecosystem in J&K.
