SKUAST-K holds capacity building training for dairy farmers

A two-day capacity building training programme for farmers on nutrition and housing management of dairy cattle organised by Mountain Livestock Research Institute (MLRI), Manasbal, SKUAST-K in collaboration with Indo-Global Social Service Society (IGSSS), Kashmir was inaugurated here on Monday.

The training shall be given to 150 farmers from thedistricts Baramulla and Bandipore, in six batches of 25 farmers each, astatement issued by teh SKUAST-K said.

   

Prof JD Parrah, Chief Scientist and Head, MLRI, formallywelcomed the first batch and stressed upon the importance of scientific housingand nutrition management for profitable dairy farming. Participantsenthusiastically introduced themselves in the inaugural function and expressedjoy for getting the opportunity to participate in the programme. Prof Parrahoffered best wishes to the organizers and the participants for successfulconduct of the programme.
