Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Kashmir (SKUAST-K) Sunday conducted entrance test for its undergraduate courses in agriculture and allied fields for the academic year 2019.
The entrance test was held in 17 centres across Jammu and Kashmir for Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, Veterinary Sciences, Agriculture Engineering, Sericulture and Fisheries courses.
As many as 9024 candidates had applied through online mode for seeking admission to various undergraduate degree programmes of the university. Out of this 92 percent students took part in the professional entrance test, a spokesperson of the university said.
Vice-Chancellor SKUAST-K, Prof Nazeer Ahmed accompanied by Prof MH Wani registrar, Prof Shakeel Ahmad Wani, Director Education, and Prof Sarfaraz Ahmad Wani, Controller of Examinations visited some of these Centres to assess about measures for smooth conduct of the test.
Vice-Chancellor expressed his satisfaction and thanked principals and heads of the institutions of different colleges and institutions, their staff for extending cooperation for smooth conduct of the test. He also expressed his gratitude to administration for its cooperation and to one and all in the university who were directly or indirectly involved with the process of the conduct of entrance test.
