SKUAST-K holds training for tribal farmers

SKUAST-K faculty of veterinary sciences Shuhama, in collaboration with KVK, Bandipora, on Friday held a training programme for tribal farmers for increasing efficiency of dairy cattle and fodder production.

The programme was organised under the DBT sponsored project on augmentation of household income through improvement of production efficiency.

The training was inaugurated by Mushtaq Ahmad, Director Extension, SKUAST-K, in presence of Dr PeerzadaShafat Hussain Deewani, Programme Coordinator and Prof Pankaj Goswami, Principal Investigator and other CoPIs of the project.

Pankaj Goswami, PI of the project briefed the farmers about the activities to be carried out under the sponsored project at the Bandipora area.  The package of practices on fodder crops on Maize and Oat were also distributed to the farmers for easy farming activities in scientific way.
