SLEC approves MIDH J&K plan for 2019-20

State level executive committee (SLEC) of Mission for Integrated Development of Horticulture (MIDH) approved the 2019-20 J&K plan of the mission for the submission to the Central government for sanction.

According to a statement, the plan was discussed andapproved during the SLEC meeting held in Jammu under the chairmanship ofsecretary horticulture Manzoor Ahmad Lone.

   

The plan was submitted by the director horticulture,Kashmir, Ajaz Ahmad Bhat, who is the mission director MIDH for J&K. He alsopresented the overview of MIDH in the state. He made detailed presentation onthe action taken of the previous SLEC meeting and an overview of the agendaitems of the current meeting. He also made a detailed presentation on thevarious activities and Proposed Action Plan 2019-20 as per ceiling conveyed byGovernment of India for the state under MIDH.

The other Agenda items viz Cold Stores, Reefer Vans, BananaRipening Chamber, Food Processing units and revised DPR of Centre of Excellenceat Udheywallah Jammu under public sector were discussed in the meeting. Allthese projects duly recommended by Sub Committee of SLEC placed before SLECwere considered.

The chairman desired that the projects beyond the competenceof SLEC be referred to GOI for sanction. The progress made by various LineDepartments under MIDH was reviewed.
