Srinagar entrepreneur adjudged winner in TFDN competition

The Tata group and National Entrepreneurs Network felicitated the winners at a national conference held in Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering, Bangalore.

A Srinagar-based student entrepreneur and CEO Media Mail Advertising Services, Mir Shariq Mushtaq (21) was declared as Judges Choice Winner in the fourth edition of Tata First Dot National Competition.

The Tata group and National Entrepreneurs Network felicitated the winners at a national conference held in Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering, Bangalore.

This year 434 Start-ups from 101 Institutions across 69 Cities in India had participated in the Competition.

‘TATA First Dot Powered by NEN’ is India’s first national mentoring and recognition platform for student start-ups. A unique initiative that promotes, mentors and showcases India’s youngest and most dynamic entrepreneurs, TATA First Dot is run by the collaborative efforts of TATA group of companies and NEN Trust, a statement here said.

Congratulating the winners, Dr Gopichand Katragadda, Group Chief Technology Officer, Tata Sons said: "It gives me great pleasure to be a part of the fourth edition of Tata first Dot. It has been a high energy event and the student businesses showcased here, which in some cases have been tested in the market were impressive. I would like the winners and participants here to keep the spirit of entrepreneurship alive and create a century of Indian Innovation."
