Tral villages adopted for paddy seed multiplication programme

In a bid to  bridge the gap between the actual yield and potential yield of paddy , Jammu and Kashmir Agriculture Production Department, Zone Noorpora, Sub-dividion Tral has adopted villages Dadsara and Chersoo as paddy seed villages for the year 2019, an official said.

For this, land has been identified and foundation seeds ofPaddy K448 and SR-3 varieties have been distributed among the progressive farmerson notified rates. An area of 32.6 hectares of land has been identified thatcan multiply quality seeds for an area of about 3665 hectares for the next cropseason.
